Can a Voice Aid or Voice Amplifier help Manage Voice Problems related to Laryngitis?

There have been several research studies conducted on the use of voice aids to manage voice problems related to laryngitis. Here are a few examples of research findings on this topic:

Voice therapy for Laryngitis

  1. A study published in the Journal of Voice in 2005 found that voice therapy using a voice aid can be an effective treatment for patients with chronic laryngitis (García-Berrocal et al., 2005).

  2. A systematic review and meta-analysis published in the journal Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in 2018 found that voice therapy using a voice aid can be an effective treatment for laryngitis and other voice disorders, with a moderate to large effect on improving voice quality (O'Kane et al., 2018).

  3. A review published in the journal Laryngoscope in 2016 found that voice therapy using a voice aid can be an effective treatment for patients with laryngitis and other voice disorders, particularly when combined with other treatments such as medication and vocal hygiene education (Kumar et al., 2016).

Overall, research suggests that voice therapy using a voice aid can be an effective treatment for voice problems related to laryngitis. We however recommend that you consult a medical practitioner to get a professional advice.
